The problem is that powerlifting federations have a lot of different standards of what is considered a "good lift" while in weightlifting it is pretty much the same everywhere. There is also little room for form changes that would decrease the range the weight has to travel in weightlifting compared to powerlifting. Look for good powerlifting federations and you'll find better, more impressive examples.
